As nearly as possible we follow the Norman Public School schedule.  We are deviating from it slightly in order to achieve a schedule that provides for better continuity in the classroom.  Rather than begin class on Wednesday, Aug. 24th, as the public schools do, we will have our Orientation Day on Monday, Aug. 22nd, and begin class on Tuesday, Aug. 23rd.  We will be in session two days when the NPS will be closed for professional days, Mon., Oct. 31st, and Fri., April 27th, giving the children a full five days of school both those weeks.  The other calendar change is that our winter break will begin after Fri., Dec. 16th, rather than on Thur., Dec. 22nd, as the public schools are doing.

Children's House follows the Norman Public School policy for snow days; if the public schools are closed we will be also.
