Teacher Training Scholarship

 We are continuing our fund raising for the Phyllis Boardman Living Legacy Teacher Training Scholarship, named in honor of the founder of Children's House.  The first use of the scholarship has been to facilitate the training of one or our current staff members. Christin Malicki was admitted to the prestigious Houston Montessori Training Center  and attended the course work there.  She has completed her Montessori Certification and is serving as lead teacher in our Santa Fe building classroom.

We will continue to accept donations to the scholarship fund.  This fund has become a permanent part of Children's House and we plan to continue using it to maintain our tradition of excellence for many years to come.  A sincere thank you to the many friends and patrons of the school who have contributed!  If you have not yet donated we strongly encourage you to consider helping this worthy cause.

If you are a friend or former patron of the school and have not heard from us it is probably because we no longer have a current address for you. We would love to hear from all of you out there who have been a part of Children's House over the years!

Ongoing Fundraisers

Cartridges for Kids 

Recycle your PDAs, iPods, cell phones, video games, inkjet cartridges, laser cartridges, digital cameras, laptops, and video game consoles with Children's House.  We are a collection place; we package them up, send them off, and the school gets money.  It's a simple and easy fundraiser with no selling involved that also keeps e-waste out of the landfills.  It's a win-win for the environment and the school.

Homeland "Dollars for Schools"

Children's House is now registered with the Homeland "Dollars for Schools" program.  This is a new fundraiser in which Homeland donates a portion of your purchase to our school.  To participate you must use one of the Homeland "One Cards," which can also give you savings on items on special in the store.  For a percentage of your purchase to come to Children's House you must register your card to our school number, 63034.  You only need to register once then everytime you use the card a portion of your purchase will be donated to the school.  This will not add to the cost of your purchase, which will stay the same.  Even if you only shop there occasionally we encourage you to register your card and help add to the donations. 

Donations to the General Fund

Children's House is always glad to receive cash donations to our general fund.  As noted above these are tax deductible for the donor.  The money is typically used to purchase classroom materials and supplies.
